New Mexico passes covid relief bill. $1200 for the unemployed

New Mexico lawmakers on Tuesday passed a bipartisan coronavirus relief bill that will deliver a one-time $1,200 check to all types of unemployed workers and up to $50,000 for certain businesses. The bill also provides smaller stimulus checks to immigrants without legal status in the country and dependents, as well as additional funds for food banks, virus testing and contact tracing efforts.

suit. In March, Texas received $12.84 billion in federal coronavirus relief funds as part of the CARES Act. So far, the state has spent $7.14 billion with $5.7 billion remaining before the Dec. 30 deadline when those funds would be returned to the federal government, if not appropriated.

Our pitiful Governor (Gregg Abbott) is too damn stupid and cold hearted to do anything for the people of Texas.

The shitkickers and hillbillies in my State disgust me.

They only lift a finger if it is to slide some money into their pockets.

People in this state are just too fucking hate-filled and ignorant. We are working on at least purple, but it sure is slow.

We’re all stressed out by covid, our jobs, our lack of job security, paying bills, hoping that the economy doesn’t collapse thanks to the Do Nothing Congress.
Shame on them.
They are a disgrace.
McConnell needs to go.

housing relief and to grants for small businesses. It will go into effect immediately.

I’m retired and living in Santa Fe, so I’m pretty sure I won’t get it. I don’t mind at all. I’m very pleased with this development!

Our state legislature is open for business just a day or two BEFORE Thanksgiving. Imagine that!

Of course, there are plenty of MAGATs plenty pissed off because this $1,200 payment is just a “bribe” and everyone is duped and Democrats are “retards” falling for it.

So yeah, let’s reach out to the MAGATs.
