I wouldn't put it past him. His legacy is one of great harm already. He is out to do as much harm as he can to "get even" for him not winning.

I can say, with 100% certainty, that the JCoS are forcefully and vigorously arguing against a strike against Iran, and even if they can't talk him out of it, there are unofficial ways to disobey an order without actually disobeying an order.

Trust me on this, I spent 35 years in the USMC, a large part as an NCO, and, on occasion, I would do so, you just got to know how to do it without being obvious, as I'm quite confident the Officers Corps are very aware of how to do this.

with the Bider/Harris team about this and plans are already in place to "gum" up the logistical side of this if it actually happens.

But as you say, there are ways for the military itself to act and not act without going outside the chain of command.
