Expert: Trump likely to pardon Ivanka for possible federal tax crimes

I wouldn't put him past this nepotistic psychopath.
By the way, apparently the founding fathers thought it would be wise to let a president pardon people preemptively, even his family. They must have been high on hemp or something.

there was anticipation of the wave of pardons and so not all possible charges were activated so that once we got out of this admin they could be charged with their other crimes.

While Trump may pardon Ivanka, Don, Eric and their spouses for Federal crimes, including tax crimes, the pardon power does not extend to crimes committed under State law. If Federal tax crimes were committed, it is likely State tax crimes were committed as well. The NY AG as well as Manhattan DA have signaled that they will investigate and if appropriate prosecute. Trump can impede but he cannot block or stop this process. Watch what happens to Flynn in New York courts following his pardon by Trump. It will be revelatory of the children's fates.

If you rob a bank, and get pardoned, you don’t get to keep the money, do you?
If you did not report your income from Russian connected money launderers, you still have to report it and pay taxes on it, don’t you?
