(19,190 posts)Trump's Scottish resorts and golf courses aren't doing very well, and chances are you'd be there alone.
"President Donald Trump will face due accountability if evidence is found linking his Scottish golf resorts to money laundering or other financial fraud, the leader of the Scottish government said this week.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon spoke out Wednesday in Parliament in response to a call from the co-leader of the Scottish Green Party to seek an unexplained wealth order to determine the source of funding for Trumps $60 million cash purchase of his Trump Turnberry golf resort in 2014, when his U.S. tax returns showed vast losses that allowed him to avoid paying any income taxes. Trump also owns the Trump Aberdeen resort in Scotland.
The Scotish leader said she wouldnt protect the soon-to-be former president of the United States from due accountability in Scotland if wrongdoing is found. An investigation, including an unexplained wealth order, would be up to the Crown Office, the independent public prosecution system in Scotland, Sturgeon added.
Green Party leader Patrick Harvie has contended Trumps Scottish resorts raise suspicions because neither Turnberry (which lost $26 million in 2016) nor Aberdeen has turned a profit or paid a penny in taxes to Scotland since Trump purchased them. All of the revenue is allegedly absorbed by costs with many of the expenses flowing back to the presidents Trump Organization."

(11,562 posts)My father told me that, during the early days of WW2 and things were going badly for the UK, there were rumours about England possibly trying to negotiate an armistice.
In Scotland, he said, they were saying "Well, that will make it (the war) last a little longer.

(1,910 posts)That they have seen what the Secret Service does exactly at 12:01 pm on Jan 20th....they literally unplug the secured phones, pack up, and just leave in SUVs. At that time all the Trump kids and in laws except Baron lose all protection. Every time they try to cross the street, people should heckle them. Bother them in restaurants, in airports, call them murderers, hassle them, day after day.
Make it a living hell to be a Trump.

LOL!!! But I've learned my lesson:
I've been quietly wishing that President Duh Don's popular vote margin of defeat would end up being twice what it was in 2016 -- and this happened:
And this is from an article I posted on my New Jersey health news blog:
The rage with which a pathological narcissist reacts to shame or humiliation thus helps him to fight against his inner emptiness and easy depression...(at being) deprived of the admiration and special treatment he believes he deserves...
Nothing is ever his fault, no matter how great a mess he creates. Responsibility and blame are for other people, as is any loss. Admitting his fault in any way creates a crack in his false façade...(A) simple, neutral observation or even the prospect of a loss...unleash(es)...rage attacks...like hellfire on an unsuspecting victim.
A simple, neutral, but inconveniently true observation: "More people voted against you than for you TWICE IN A ROW." Well, I'm cancelling Christmas -- I've already got my presents!
