(6,280 posts)The are essentially saying religious rights are absolute. This flies in the face of the various tests the SC has imposed over the years. There is definitely, in this instance, a compelling state interest to limit the size of all gatherings.
At some point this group is going to say that any law that may offend someone's religion is a violation of the freedom of religion clause in the first amendment.

(3,916 posts)Any law that hinders Christian or Jewish religious activities will be struck down. Rest assured, this gang will take away rights from Muslims in short order. Then they will go after other groups.
Eventually, they will go after Jewish rights too but not until they have stamped out every other non-christian religion. Amy Covid Barrett's sect believes all others are going to hell and should be stopped from dragging others to hell with them.
