I remember hearing that for the first time in Vietnam when I was with the 3rd Combat Engineer Battalion in Dong Ha in '67, it was funny as hell then and is still funny as hell 53 years later.

From one old fart to another and to all others here, Happy Thanksgiving.

I thought that that would be enough to label myself with that particular pseudonym. Apparently, I need to be around for a couple of more years....Hey, I'm OK with that!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

I heard this song in its entirety not that long ago. A classic that will surely outlive Arlo, and most of us here, if I hazard a guess.

We survived Trump.....truly one hell of a Thanksgiving!!! Even slipped & slided thru freezing rain to be the lector at mass early this morning. Lots of comments of people feeling thankful & relieved to get this filthbag off the back of this country!!!

wasn't a movement. I moved on and met my future husband, whose theme was The Motorcycle Song -- which turned out to be real. No excuse for that choice except I was young and he wasn't stoned half the time and was always up for tickle. We laid a lot of rubber on our road, which eventually met up with the others in middle-class America anyway.

And here we are 50 years later. Happy Thanksgiving.

I don't want a pickle
Just want to ride on my motorcycle
And I don't want a tickle
'Cause I'd rather ride on my motorcycle
And I don't want to die
I just want to ride on my motorcycle
