and bask in the glowing press coverage of the Inaugural address and all of it. Then slap the handcuffs on that evil monster. It will be a big news story and I don't want to have Joe's Inauguration Day thunder stolen.

I think he should be handed indictments without arrest to keep the loons at bay until the indictments can be read publicly
Arrest him rhe following week on other indictments just to give the idiots time to process his crimes in their distorted brains.

It's the Manhattan DA's office that's investigating him and his spawn for possible crimes. And whenever they have enough evidence they can convene a grand jury, which would issue indictments. It also depends on the relevant statutes of limitations, so they'd have to charge before those expire.

Is this a criminal investigation?

No, but it could become one.

The current inquiry is examining whether civil laws that prohibit deceptive business practices were violated, or if there were other fraudulent or illegal acts.

But if the attorney general’s office finds evidence of possible criminal conduct, it can turn that evidence over to another law enforcement agency for investigation. And in certain circumstances, the governor can authorize the office to open its own criminal investigation.

indictments. I myself don't have complete faith in Vance as he hasn't been that aggressive in getting trump's tax documents once a path was opened for access.

I've heard campaign donations may have influenced him.

I'm not sure what you mean by "money crimes."

I think there will be NY tax cases very quickly which will result in seizures of real estate and perhaps after many months indictments for tax fraud.

A lot of what they have done is very difficult to prove as a crime, but can be pursued in civil proceedings with monetary judgements applied.

My guess is they're making arrangements now, moving money and assets so they can't be seized and preparing to leave the country before the inauguration. Their destination will likely be a tRump friendly regime that does not have an extradition agreement with the US.

tRump can then be charged with all sorts of crimes (perhaps some that have yet to be revealed) but to no avail. He and his corrupt family will live in exile while the GOP, Qanon, OANN and other puppets work to further propagandize American voters. Someone or some entity has set a goal to take down Democracy and tRumpism has made some inroads toward that end. They're not finished yet.

We can make it harder for them but it will take a cohesive and relentless effort to assure that what happened in the last 4 years never happens again.
The worst thing Democrats can do is to think the nightmare is over for good.
