(2,957 posts)After reading through the "whereas" items, some of them looked to be the same stuff that the lawyers filled suits against previously. Then the "be it resolved" urges the Secretary and Governor to withdraw or vacate the certification...
I'm no lawyer but would think "urge" isn't a binding legal term. Looks to be another futile exercise dreamed up by Rudy.

(38,415 posts)But what will be interesting is that it might force Republican legislators to go on the record as believing the election was fraudulent or not - and distrust in the election system is not anything most politicians want to support since they rely on getting people to the polls to vote for them.
Going on the record is bit different position than just being able to remain silent.
