QAnon rhetoric has been seeping into anti-vax pages all over social media in recent months. Devoted adherents of the conspiracy theory have weathered tech giants sweeping crackdowns by infiltrating other communities that exist on the platforms, then poisoning them with disinformation. This has transformed the large ecosystem of anti-vax communities online into radicalization pipelines for QAnon.
The purpose of vaccination is to literally slaughter the population and dumb everyone down and render them helpless, Larry Cook, the creator of Stop Mandatory Vaccination, warned in his final Facebook Live video. It is a global plan to literally enslave every human on the planet.
Over Cooks right shoulder was an image of the American flag atop the QAnon slogan, #WWG1WGA. Over his left was the letter Q, decorated in stars and stripes. Comments poured in from viewers thanking him for awakening them to the truth.

(12,712 posts)COVID-19 IS the mass slaughtering and the long-term effects do have an impact on cognitive abilities.
No conspiracy is needed and they just don't get what's in plain sight so they fall into distractions and actually support the Malthusian Mandate.

(47,552 posts)They elevated a fucking clown to the presidency (they tried to do it twice!) and now they think someone is trying to dumb them down.

(1,202 posts)What I can't figure out is do these anti-vaxxers support Trump generally? Trump was pushing/bragging about the vaccine. I honestly can't envision Moe, Larry, and Curly voting for Trump, so where do these people fall in line? I'm thinking Yosemite Sam?

(22,363 posts)Edward Jenner, FRS FRCPE[1] (17 May 1749 26 January 1823) was an English physician and scientist who pioneered the concept of vaccines including creating the smallpox vaccine, the world's first vaccine.[2][3] The terms vaccine and vaccination are derived from Variolae vaccinae (smallpox of the cow), the term devised by Jenner to denote cowpox. He used it in 1798 in the long title of his Inquiry into the Variolae vaccinae known as the Cow Pox, in which he described the protective effect of cowpox against smallpox.[4]
Jenner is often called "the father of immunology", and his work is said to have "saved more lives than the work of any other human".[5][6][7] In Jenner's time, smallpox killed around 10% of the population, with the number as high as 20% in towns and cities where infection spread more easily.[5] In 1821, he was appointed physician extraordinary to King George IV, and was also made mayor of Berkeley and justice of the peace. A member of the Royal Society, in the field of zoology he was the first person to describe the brood parasitism of the cuckoo. In 2002, Jenner was named in the BBCs list of the 100 Greatest Britons.

I'm surprised the anti-vaxers haven't worked the Freemasons into their insane conspiracy theories.

(Yes, I know that would be un-constitutional.)

(100,068 posts)Among other things. If I were in charge, you could choose not to be vaccinated. But choosing that option would automatically disqualify you for school, credit applications, loan applications, employment, travel, housing, dining out, going to sporting events and concerts, shopping, well, you get the idea!

(1,783 posts)I read something just the other day about this (maybe here). The Q crap, anti-Semitism, misogyny, disinformation, etc. has become so toxic that it's going to have to be stopped with some sort of automated solution, like an AI that can determine the poster's intent. One favorite technique of the shitposters is misspelling things to get around the '70s-style low-tech text bots on Twitter et al. I've seen COVID-deniers use deliberate misspellings like "Coronuuu" and "Coronka". Alt-right whackjob Roosh V calls it the "Viroosh".
