Sounds like a Saudi attempt to strong arm Qatar into something with US support, like ending relations with Iran.

Of all the countries with no extradition treaties, Saudi Arabia has the most Trump-compatible climate and attitude towards wealth. He's going to hole up in a penthouse somewhere and start his own media company.
