An AG who won't apply the principle of equality under the law is worthless to a democracy.

No different than Trump pardoning Flynn, Stone etc

I hope one of those will fix our system to so we don't get any more Trump-like candidates:

1.Require tax returns for all elected office
2. POTUS can be tried and convicted while in office
3. POTUS cannot employ private persons to represent personal or public interest with foreign governments.
4. The administration cannot demote or fire whistleblowers
5. Must sell off all private business interests or put them in a blind trust or other instrument that does not conflict with presiding over the country.
6. May not stay in their own properities on the taxpayer dime -- if they choose to stay in their own properities, they must absorb the cost themselves.
7. All conversations with heads of state require a public-accessible read out, with redactions for national security reasons
8. Adult children prohibited from assuming official roles in the administration, and must pay for their own travel/lodging if they accompany POTUS in unofficial capacity. They do not represent the U.S. ever. They may not operate out of public facilities or have offices in the Whitehouse.
9. Public statements are actionable in court -- everything a president or his adminstration communicates to the public in person or in tweets or channel has the full force of official statements. Affected parties have the right to sue the government for damages resulting from those statements.
10. Recreational outings for POTUS and his family are paid by the POTUS, including transportation/lodging/admission fees...etc.
11. All federal appointments are automatically "confirmed" by default if no action is taken within 90- days. This includes judges at all levels of government.
12. Expand the supreme court to include three appointments by Bidin.

They are part of th Executive Branch. Roughly, they carry out the laws.

The Legislative Branch, that is The Senate and the House of Representatives enact laws.

It's better to have an odd number to avoid ties, I would think.

I think Doug Jones is very weak and would not be a strong leader of the Justice Dept.

He may have prosecuted the Church Bombings by KKK....but that doesn't make him a strong manager or leader and one has to keep in mind that the Justice Department has many different areas and functions than just the Civil Rights division.

I absolutely think he is the wrong person for the job.

I think Sally Yates would be fantastic and she has done the job and she has proven to be loyal, patriotic and follows the laws and isn't afraid to do the right thing. She knows the Justice Dept upside down and she would make sure all the people in place pursuing Civil Rights cases etc. would be the best.

The DOJ knows her, trusts her, and she knows it, as well as where to look for corruption and cover-up.

He turned pretty hard against Drumpf and the GOP rather publicly, which might compromise his ability to get confirmed.
