as the recipient has to tell the court that the parson exists and that they (the recipient) have accepted it.

3. Exactly. In order for flynn to forfeit his 5th amendment right, *he* has to produce the pardon

The court should not let the doj drop the case just because they are aware a pardon exists. The court should keep the case open unless and until flynn produces and accepts the pardon.

Wow. Flynn’s pardon extends to any crimes within the “investigatory authority” of the Special Counsel, including crimes *arising* out of facts “known to” the SC within the scope of its investigation. Kinda suggests that his criminal liability wasn’t just lying to the FBI 🤔🙄

I mean, if Flynn were really just set up in a “perjury trap,” and the FBI and Mueller had nothing else on him, why the need for such an expansive pardon? (FWIW, this seems to be worded with enough particularity interference to facts and circumstances to not be vague or overbroad)

I am no expert but this pardon looks written to try to establish a precedent for blanket pardons. It pardons all offenses within the jurisdiction of the Special Counsel, something Trump may hope to do for himself and the lawbreakers he surrounds himself with. Nice try won’t work.

Ford pardoned Nixon in blanket way for 5 yr period, but the pardon noted there was an existing Grand jury investigation & could be read to be so confined-despite Ford’s attempt to go further. My point is this is sketchy,like all things Trump,Flynn pardon not about Flynn but Trump

This is EXTREMELY broad. Not only a pardon for the crime for which Flynn was convicted and for anything relating to that, but also anything that Mueller did *or could have* investigated, *as well as* anything related to either grand jury (in DC or Virginia).

He now has no Fifth Amendment protection at all. I hope there is an investigation into Russian involvement with Trump and others, and Flynn is questioned under oath.
