if the gop keps the senate, what can we do, what should we do?

I know that Mitch is Mitch, and i also know that many billionaire centrists love broken government because they are scared aoc will make them pay taxes for once. What can be done t at least put pressure so that mitch and the boys realize thi is not a game?

That's how we used to get things done. Biden was well known for that sort of thing. It's usually not pretty, but it beats getting nothing done. We can't keep doing nothing. There's too much this country needs and our people need to remain in limbo for four years. Besides, if we don't get some things done in the first couple of years, we are going to pay the price from the voters. It's do or die.

Also Toomey and Burr are not going to run for re-election, so they might be open to persuasion.

It really has to be multi-faceted:

Compromise for the greater good is okay.

Investigations are certainly appropriate but fishing expeditions just frustrate people with DC, so be reasonable. And actually do something with the results...prosecute, amend legislative rules, etc.!

Use the bully pulpit well and try and get Dem messaging aligned. Going off on socialist and other tangents just loses too many centrist voters and Dems can't win most places from the far left. If we don't want to be in this 51%/49% see saw every four years we gotta get core messaging on track for WINNING the next election. RESOUNDINGLY.

I think to get anywhere we want to go in a substantive way, if Mitch and the Repubs remain in control of the Senate, I think the only way to get movement from them is be in the street...major demonstrations, strikes, etc. If its just status quo, no real cost to anyone for stifling progress, there will be no progress. And target strikes and other action that it hits Red areas!

Target, now, states and districts that we need to win in 2022 to take the Senate and better the Dem standing in the House. DNC needs to get its act together. When folks like Donna Shalala lose a house seat in a District that should have been an easy win, DNC is missing key sentiment on the ground. This is not a One Size Fits All view from DC or the coasts. To have not done better with Trump and friends to run against is embarrassing now and scary for the future when we won't have such a big fat target.

Transition away from the gerontocracy. Pelosi, Feinstein, Shumer, Biden and on and on have done great work and their counsel and experience is invaluable but we need to be moving to new and younger blood by 2022 and beyond.

End up with a 51-49 Senate.

In that case we only need 1 of 3 on tie votes, since will have the VP position. Those 3 will be Collins, Romney or Murkowski. Murkowski is up in 2022, so she will probably be the most amenable to compromise.

I honestly don’t think Loeffler is gonna win. Not as sure on Ossoff.
