Oregon Nurse On Administrative Leave For Bragging About Breaking Covid-19 Rules

While many health care workers have used social media to show Americans the harsh effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, one Oregon nurse is in trouble for doing the opposite.

An oncology nurse at Oregon's Salem Health was put on administrative leave Saturday after she posted a TikTok video in which she bragged about flouting her state's pandemic restrictions, the hospital told CNN.

The video, which has since been taken down, showed the nurse, wearing scrubs and a stethoscope around her neck, pretending to scream with a caption that read: 'When my coworkers find out I still travel, don't wear a mask when I am out, and let my kids have playdates.'

I know 2 cancer patients who received chemo this year. At least she's not in my state. But how do you work in the medical field and be this dense?

7. Since the pandemic began, I have seen two Nurses, in their scrubs, in

public with no mask on. Imagine a person that thoughtless working with patients.

I don't know how many were medical and how many were clerical.

11. I Nurses are going around not using masks when out in public

are creating exposure vectors like letting their kids be around other kids unmasked, that it stands to reason that medical establishments will have outbreaks.

If you are a patient and a Nurse who doesn’t wear a mask outside of his or her work environment treats you, theoretically, if you and the Nurse are wearing a mask properly at that point, your chance of being infected by that idiot is about 5%. Better if the Nurse doesn’t create that 5% chance, because that could be enough to kill some patients if they contact COVID19.
