(15,325 posts)Chief Justice Howell may have released the redacted docs to the public when Barr requested Trump's Pardon for Flynn.
If so, Howell played some serious hardball. Woosh!
Maybe the mystery name is Barr, himself.

Barr hires Durham to shield himself from prosecution.
****?*?*
(THis is what I believe went down today.
Just My Opinion, however.)
Elliss can be correct (and I would argue is more commonly correct).
In this case though the double Ls dont line up with the redaction markings so I dont think its her.

So was Barr trying to 'cover-up' for the potential bribery by getting the case dismissed?
This is freakin crazy.
I'd like to order the best seller book now please.

I would think, too, that the redaction bars would be calibrated to cover all ascenders and descenders of whichever font was used in the document.

What are those tall letters?

(101,311 posts)Possibly a reference to a footnote - it looks like they have a straight vertical line at the end, something like "[54]". The missing name before that would then be short; again, I think it starts with a vertical straight line. But that could be "Ellis"; what's the context? Could it be "Flynn"?
Budi
(15,325 posts)...you consider all those who must want a pardon by Jan 20, 2021 it could be a name we aren't even familiar with.
It definately is a short name however.

(101,311 posts)We can see superscript used just before, and that's a plain '7', so square brackets seem unlikely. It does look like the right height for superscript (if it's not just a random variation - but the other blocks all seem to have smooth tops).
"'s role as an a attorney-advocate" doesn't seem to fit 'Flynn'; that might be why the tweeter suggested 'Ellis'.
FWIW, that came from Wonkette: https://www.wonkette.com/whos-bribing-whom-lets-play-connect-the-redaction-bars-with-latest-bribe-for-pardon-scheme , where they are concentrating on Giuliani, Parnas and Fruman.

(15,325 posts)You'd think she'd know the legal ramifications of such a bribe.
This is interesting.
I haven't visited Wonkette in awhile, should have known she's present details like you posted.
Thanks much, muriel_volestrangler
I have to dig deeper now...

(15,325 posts)"..leading up to ______'s surrender to BOP custody".
Now that would be who? Flynn, Parnas..etc Someone who surrendered to BOP custody.
Then, In this quote from your post:
"____'s role as an a attorney-advocate" doesn't seem to fit 'Flynn'; that might be why the tweeter suggested 'Ellis'.
So they are redacting 2 separate names?
Ellis, the Atty advocate & Flynn, the surrendee. ??
Do I have that right?
********
Next up, we have to research who was Flynn's attorney advocate?
Was Jen Ellis on his case also?
Maybe easier to research Ellis's cases
Oye!

(101,311 posts)"This political strategy to obtain a presidential pardon was "parallel" to and distinct from Giuliani's role as an attorney-advocate for Trump."
Maybe there's no superscript at all.
More speculation: "Richard (W.) Gates III" found?

Odd how everything went quiet today tho.
Guess we'll have to just wait.
