1. Ellis would be Ellis'... not Ellis's

Also those marks along the top of the redaction are higher than the unredacted letters. Not sure they are L's or any other letter.

2. Yes. Can't be Ellis then. Maybe it's, BARR

Chief Justice Howell may have released the redacted docs to the public when Barr requested Trump's Pardon for Flynn.

If so, Howell played some serious hardball. Woosh!
Maybe the mystery name is Barr, himself.

Barr hires Durham to shield himself from prosecution.

****?*?*
(THis is what I believe went down today.
Just My Opinion, however.)

Ellis’s can be correct (and I would argue is more commonly correct).

In this case though the double Ls don’t line up with the redaction markings so I don’t think it’s her.

5. Geez! there ate so many crooks who may be vying for a pardon

Replying to
@glennkirschner2
So was Barr trying to 'cover-up' for the potential bribery by getting the case dismissed?

This is freakin crazy.
I'd like to order the best seller book now please.

6. Possibly a glitch in the redaction. The "l" in role & the "f" in from are nowhere near high enough...

to breach the top of the redaction bar.

I would think, too, that the redaction bars would be calibrated to cover all ascenders and descenders of whichever font was used in the document.

11. I think they're superscript

Possibly a reference to a footnote - it looks like they have a straight vertical line at the end, something like "[54]". The missing name before that would then be short; again, I think it starts with a vertical straight line. But that could be "Ellis"; what's the context? Could it be "Flynn"?

13. That's true. Flynn would be the most obvious name. But when..

...you consider all those who must want a pardon by Jan 20, 2021 it could be a name we aren't even familiar with.

It definately is a short name however.

14. OK, here's the context; if it is superscript, it's not [54] as a reference to a footnote

We can see superscript used just before, and that's a plain '7', so square brackets seem unlikely. It does look like the right height for superscript (if it's not just a random variation - but the other blocks all seem to have smooth tops).

"'s role as an a attorney-advocate" doesn't seem to fit 'Flynn'; that might be why the tweeter suggested 'Ellis'.

FWIW, that came from Wonkette: https://www.wonkette.com/whos-bribing-whom-lets-play-connect-the-redaction-bars-with-latest-bribe-for-pardon-scheme , where they are concentrating on Giuliani, Parnas and Fruman.

15. Meaning Ellis was offering payment for a pardon. (If it is Jen Ellis )

You'd think she'd know the legal ramifications of such a bribe.

This is interesting.
I haven't visited Wonkette in awhile, should have known she's present details like you posted.

Thanks much, muriel_volestrangler

I have to dig deeper now...

16. Wait...in reading the last sentence where it says:
Wed Dec 2, 2020, 07:47 PM
Dec 2020

"..leading up to ______'s surrender to BOP custody".

Now that would be who? Flynn, Parnas..etc Someone who surrendered to BOP custody.

Then, In this quote from your post:

"____'s role as an a attorney-advocate" doesn't seem to fit 'Flynn'; that might be why the tweeter suggested 'Ellis'.

So they are redacting 2 separate names?
Ellis, the Atty advocate & Flynn, the surrendee. ??

Do I have that right?
********

Next up, we have to research who was Flynn's attorney advocate?
Was Jen Ellis on his case also?

Maybe easier to research Ellis's cases
Oye!

17. Could that whole sentence read
Wed Dec 2, 2020, 08:00 PM
Dec 2020

"This political strategy to obtain a presidential pardon was "parallel" to and distinct from Giuliani's role as an attorney-advocate for Trump."

Maybe there's no superscript at all.

More speculation: "Richard (W.) Gates III" found?
