This is just pandering to the snake handlers / lunatic fringe. I do not believe there is any serious intent, nor is there a path.

On balance, and to their credit, leadership has been clear on honoring the election results.

Pennsylvania Republican lawmakers, including House Speaker Bryan Cutler and House Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff, have sent a letter to the state’s congressional delegation urging them to object to PA’s Electoral College votes on Jan. 6.

of PA's legislature. If they question the votes for Trump, votes for them, which were on the same ballots, will also be taken out of the mix. IOW if they find that ballots that voted for Biden were illegally cast, so will the votes on those ballots that were cast for them, making a big old mess of our state legislature and calling into question their right to hold up the votes for Biden.

Here is how you know this is performative undercutting of the Republic by a pack of toadstools more interested in currying favor with their despicable base than honest and responsible leadership

They were elected on the same ballots. They don't object to their own victories.

Since we have the House majority, Republicans don't have the votes to toss out elector votes.

I'm sure many Republican yahoos in the Congress will object, though, for the theater of it.

The GOP vote would prevail, not ours.
