at GWB’s “ranch”. There was one flat on the ground and one tilted on top of it. They didn’t move for eight years. Props. And I don’t mean props in a complimentary sense.

On edit: I take that back: there was a “wagon” and it was upon that that the hay bales sat for eight years. I remember one correspondence saying that he’s been standing in front of them for two full presidential terms.

12. That whole "ranch" was a prop.

It was nothing but a rich guy's country vacation home with a cowboy facade. Dumbya would go out and "clear brush" to make it look like he was being a "regular Texas guy," rather than the third (or whatever it is) generation rich kid from the Northeast that he is. There were no actual animals on the place, other than cats and dogs, and I think one steer. Phony, indeed. Just like his Texas accent.

Even his cattle were rentals. Turned out that Laura Bush didn't like the smell of
cow shit so before w would come to his ranch some of the neighboring farms would
bring over some cows to make it look like it was a real ranch.

Fun fact w's "Prairie Chapel Ranch" was built by Enron so w could show he had
"roots into the Texas soil."
