Although I think Wilson is talking about the Trumpers "hidden" inside the government with the objectives of thwarting everything Biden/Harris try to do.

Root them out and fire their asses. If they can be prosecuted, so much the better.

were expecting a sizable amount of Republicans to break away, so that it would be a repudiation of Trump and Trumpism. That would then give space for the clearing out of the GOP. Instead, there is no going back for most of them.

Despite Wilson's feel-good ads, more Republicans voted for Trump this time then they did four years ago.

numbers with interest, however a few points...

1 Over 27m more people voted this time than in 2016, how many Republicans had sat out then

2 and while 10m more voted for Republican, Democrats increased their vote by 15m. Biden will win the popular vote by 8 to 10 million.

3 What will be really interesting is WHERE Republicans increased their vote ie getting an extra 100,000 votes in Mississippi versus a more useful 100,000 in say, Virginia.

4 How many down ballot votes did Republicans get versus Trump ? Were there Republicans who came out to vote against Trump, but voted GOP downballot, and if so how many ? My suspicion is that an amount of Republican voters were energised to go vote against Trump but as they were there, voted Red below that.

You may not be aware but TLP weren't national, that picked key states, and in some states they worked only in particular counties, so I'll be interested to see the numbers in those cases too. That said, Dems like David Plouffe seemed to be very happy with their work in those areas so we'll see when the numbers come in.

Unfortunately Trump has put many of them in civil service jobs that have protections from firing. The Biden team may need to create a few new levels of supervision to get these people far enough down the ladder that they can’t do much damage. If there are any career people left, they will know the ones to watch for sabotage, which can be a basis for firing. What a mess, and this incompetence is what Trump voters wanted. Thank God they lost because four more years of Trump would have seen a federal government totally incapable of functioning in any way.

They would be given a window seat, but nothing to do. They had to stay in the seat all day, everyday. Under watchful eyes. Everyone else in the office knew what was going on. It was humiliating.

They withered and died from shame, or they quit.

Not sure if it's the same now, but back then, we had a very distinguished gentleman who was a "window sitter". He was a former war correspondent, of Korean descent. He was smart, principled and extremely dignified. I always felt so bad that they treated him that way. It made no sense.

His goal is to remove career staff deemed not personally loyal to him and replace them with loyal sycophants with civil service protections to have them in place to sabotage the Biden presidency.

their bank accounts/steal what they can/etc. will all be caught. I hope that Biden offers some sort of rewards program, where outright fraud and / or crime(s) occurred so Biden's DOJ and other agencies can go after these people and nail them. The whole trump admin. is a sewer, in effect, instead of draining the swamp, trump enlarged and deepened the swamp.

was wipe out the Fairness Doctrine back during Reagan years????????

Then Newt declared war on NPR forcing them to do "He Said She said"

There used to be laws about ownership of media, and had strict limits, Reagan also took care of that......

Actually, Reagan was already suffering from dementia when he took office, it was Truly the HWBush/Cheney/Rumsfeld administration.
Re cycled during "W"'s administration...........

Some of us were screaming our heads off starting after Reagan took office, and that was 40 years ago. Treason during the election, Treason in the Iran Contra, Largest tax cut to the Rich ever, Largest tax increase to the middle class ever, etc etc etc.

As a former civil servant, I have been highly offended by this whole ugly-demon-nightmare-administration-from-hell thing. They cost me the last five years of my career. I'll never forgive them for it, and I can never forgive the brutal treatment of people in every environment of humanity. Accountability is demanded.
