Will Republicans pay a price for their complicit and treasonous act to tear down our democracy?

Once voters have seen them thru the prism of time, will they be rejected as a Party?

Many folks see hard times ahead with our economy and lack of jobs. Republicans will attempt to blame it all on Joe Biden and the Democrats, to be sure. But, they have escaped the worst part of their political decisions up to this point, primarily because they have spent trillions of dollars to get us thru the election. Then we are on our own.

However, none of us can escape the damage done by Trump and his Republican accomplices. They threatened the lives and livelihoods of every American. There is little sympathy for those that were hood-winked and tricked by the macho talk of the wanna-be dictator. (There is little doubt left but that was his plan)

Both sides did not do it. Only one side did it. There is no escape from that fact.

... party and show a myriad of videos of them talking about it.

Something, label them first and accurately and let them walk themselves into the stupid

Sedition on a massive scale.

The GOP brand is thoroughly toxic and this party must die.

but sadly I think they are likely to remain able to get the floor of 47% of the vote they seem to be able to get. But where they may pay a price is that the next time they eek out a narrow win in the electoral college, Democrats have no incentive at all not to behave this way. In my adult life time (I turn 53 tomorrow) the GOP has exactly one time won a decisive popular vote victory. In 1988, Bush beat Dukakis by 7.8% and the electoral college by 315 meaning that Dukakis would have had to flip a minimum of 5 states (CA + 4 of the following,TX,PA,IL,OH,FL,MI ). Since then Bush won the EV by one state and lost the PV in 2000, won the PV narrowly and again won the EV by one state (this time Ohio was the only close call that could have flipped the EC), and lost the PV but won a 3 state EC win in 2016). In all of those cases the Democrats eventually accepted defeat. In only one was there any serious attempt by Democrats to contest the election. Why in God's name should anyone think that if we have a repeat of 2016 in the future Dems won't behave like the GOP is now if there is no electoral punishment for that behavior.

And the results are in. Except for Donald Trump's loss, the GOP paid no price at all. They gained seats in the house while only losing one seat in the Senate. The run off in Georgia may change that but we'll have to wait to find out. What should have been, in our minds, another blue wave election was nothing of the sort. If we were running against another candidate, like say John Kasich, I don't think we would have won the White House.
If the DNC is smart they will not spend much time celebrating Biden's win and concentrate on where we failed to convince voters in key areas of the country where we had a real shot and came up short.
I think it all comes down to messaging. Our goals and values are much more aligned with average Americans than the GOP ever could be, but we're just not doing an effective job communicating that.
In my mind, this is the epic challenge the party faces going forward.

...or to see beyond the lies and propaganda, for many voters.

The smell had not yet reached their olfactory receptors.

It could be an entirely different story in 2022, in my opinion.

We have two years to hone our message and performance. I could list the many messaging mistakes I see but they are just my opinions and everyone else has different opinions just as valid as mine are.
In the end it comes down to who the next DNC chairman is and what decisions they make at the top.
If they choose to rest on our laurels, we are heading for disaster in 2022.

the economy, the virus, the unemployment, the dissecting of valuable intel agencies, our world wide status as the lead nation, environmental causes, world trade, .........................

We will now have to spend years trying to undo the damage, which will take valuable time away from more pressing issues that need to be addressed.

They will blame Democrats for attempting a coup and that will be the narrative that sticks.
It always does. Just watch.

Dems are miserable at propaganda while Republicans use it as the primary means of communication. That's how they remain in power and so it goes.
