I don't know much about him. However, I was not impressed by what I saw helpisontheway Dec 2020 #1
No. I suspect he'd be a genial kind of AG. Wouldn't be my choice, as much as I liked him as my gov. Blue_Adept Dec 2020 #2

...when she tried to inform them about Flynn's Russia connections.

She would probably get a lot of opposition from the other side?

However, I think she might be the best choice. It would be best to have someone that knows what is buried under all the rocks.

Unfortunately, Yates has baggage because she was fired by Trump. If she prosecutes him or other administration officials, they'll say it is petty revenge.

It won't be, but picking someone else is an easy way to avoid that minefield.

They should be prosecuted and Democrats should not shy away from that. They should promote Sally Yates, imo.

She's mostly on the radar because she was Interim AG and spoke out. While that's great, it also ties her to cases that may need to be prosecuted, such as the Flynn/Russia matter. She'd have to recuse.

Why not get someone equally as great who wouldn't have to recuse? There's plenty of others who are qualified.

or not at all. I don't want four years of hearings about this in Congress. We need to get some policy through.

hamper her ability to do the job without being accused everyday of being partisan which is kind of a joke when you see what the Trump Administration did.
