....a women named Melissa Carone, was absolutely pitch perfect. Cicily Strong could not have been more perfect, not since Tina Fey did Sarah Palin was a character done so well.

(15,527 posts)... who was a beautician working at the same hair and nail salon. My ex-wife said she was her best and most loyal friend, but later she totally freaked out at me for letting that woman inside our home to await my spouse's return from a store. As soon as that woman left, my wife screamed that her best friend was a "whore" and I'd better never be alone with her ever again! Lol.
Anyway, I bet that airhead woman could've done just as well with the blind accusations.
Who Is Melissa Carone?

The 33-year-old single mom is an aspiring actress and model, and a computer specialist who was hired to troubleshoot the ballot machines on election night.
Also raising eyebrows is the fact that Carone was charged in 2018 with obscenity for allegedly emailing sexually explicit video to her boyfriend's ex. She pleaded guilty to a lesser charge, which was dismissed after she served probation.

(15,527 posts)I was half-expecting a video of her Gemma character after I mentioned "Cockney", but I'm not sure what English accent she was supposedly imitating in those sketches.
She's been a "gemma" for SNL! So many funny characters!

(11,949 posts)But when real life becomes the perfect parody its difficult to improve.
Throw in the Rudy farts and it cant become a funny parody.

(8,272 posts)But yeah, it was flat, stilted and the timing was off. Poor direction
The drunk lady stole the show tho, perfect pitch there
What's her name McKinnon? She overdoes parodies. Her attempts at Jeff Sessions were hard to watch for overacting

(77,019 posts)...machines on election night.
By whom? For what purpose?
Why would one need a troubleshooter on site during the count? A balky machine then, would not impede anybody's voting rights. Why wouldn't it wait until an on-call person got there?
There's sketchy background in her claims on computer expertise, so is that even true?
Or was she a plant the entire time?
Then, she puts on that crazed performance, and she's an aspiring actress? Hmmmmm!
