magat relatives are posting a screed on facebook, anyone seen a good response?

Here is my issue with the whole, “let us all be a United States again” that we heard from Joe Biden.
For the last 4+ years, the Democrats have gone scorched earth. You have salted the fields and now you want to grow crops.
The problem is 72+ million of us have memories longer than a hamster.
We remember the women’s march (vagina hats and all) the day after inauguration.
We remember the 4 years of attacks and impeachments
We remember “not our president” and the “Resistance…”
We remember Maxie Walters telling followers to harass us in restaurants.
We remember the Presidents spokesperson being kicked out a restaurant.
We remember hundreds of Trump supporters physically attacked.
We remember Trump supporters getting Doxed, and fired from jobs.
We remember riots, and looting
We remember “a comedian” holding up the President’s severed head
We remember a play in Central park paid with public funding, showing the killing of President Trump
We remember Robert de Niro yelling “F" Trump” at the Tony’s and getting a standing ovation.
We remember Nancy Pelosi tearing up the State of the Union Address.
We remember the total in the tank move on the mainstream media
We remember the non-stop and live fact checking on our President and his supporters.
We remember non-stop in your face lies and open cover-ups from the media.
We remember the President and his staff being spied on.
We remember five Senators shot on a ballfield.
We remember every so-called comedy show turn into nothing but Trump hate fest.
We remember 95% negative coverage in the news.
We remember the state governors asking and getting everything they ask for and then blaming Trump for their problems.
We remember a Trump top aid verbally assaulted in two DC restaurants.
We remember people banging on the Supreme Court doors.
We remember that we were called every name in the book for supporting President Trump.
We remember that Hollywood said they would leave after Trump was elected but they stayed.
This list is endless, but you get the idea.
My friends will be my friends, but a party that has been on the attack for 4 long years does not get a free pass with me! Come on ya'l know its true

That 72 million figure they came up with isn't close to reality. While Trump may have gotten that many votes, many have moved on with life. The never forget Mayas are a small percentage and you can see that by the small numbers that shoe up for the Stop The Steal protests.

An example is that about 260k in Wayne County voted for Trump but only about 200 of them bothered to show up for a pro Trump protest in Detroit after the election. Over 2 million in MI voted for Trump but only 500 showed up for a protest at the state capitol in Lansing.

Every 4 years, someone wins and someone loses, just like in the Super Bowl. And no matter how much we love our team , we know after fourth quarter or overtime, we have to accept it when we've lost by two touchdowns and a field goal. That's about how much Trump lost by, and he can complain all he likes about the refs and the astroturf and the crowd, but he lost.

If they are using the left for reasons to support him then they should have a list of things he has done right.

Then, when they list the things he has done right, you can list the things that he has fucked up (a much longer list) that fox news and am radio didn't tell them about.

Or you can list all the terrible things the republicans did to President Obama.

Keep them as friends but don't follow them and save your mind. That way when you are ready you can go to their page and see their insanity.

How many Clinton "scandals" turned out to be puffed-up horseshit? Accusations made on thin stories and trumpeted by conservative media to create constant headlines about Clinton's "criminality" or just highlight how the Clintons were awful people who hated America. And it drove the believers nuts because except for lying about Lewinsky there was nothing they could bring to court. Years and years of repeated investigations, and all they got was headlines. The Salome Caucus never brought them the head of Bill the Clinton.

For that matter, you can remind them how they acted when Bush was in charge. I certainly remember the accusations of "wanting the terrorists to win" when pointing out what didn't add up about Bush's "We have to attack Saddam now! Now Now Now!" stance. we were, of course, right.

Conservatives have spend the last 50 years carefully nurturing grievances while completely bewildered by why anyone else might be a bit testy about their own rancid behavior.

First I asked them to describe to me how they vigorously objected to all the attempts to demonize President Obama, his family, and his supporters. So, I provided them with a few of their own previous posts and emails from them spreading hatred during Obama's time. Then I ridiculed them relentlessly for their blatant hypocrisy and lies.

The great majority of it is "They protested Trump and Republicans! How dare they!"

The rest is either bullshit, or pretty weak sauce compared to things Trump and Trump supporters have done.

History will show we didn't protest against Trump nearly enough.

49. Here's what I've got, off the top of my head.
Sun Dec 6, 2020, 11:49 AM
Dec 2020

Here is my issue with the whole, “let us all be a United States again” that we heard from Joe Biden.
For the last 4+ years, the Democrats have gone scorched earth. You have salted the fields and now you want to grow crops.
The problem is 72+ million of us have memories longer than a hamster.
Really? This truly is a shock.
We remember the women’s march (vagina hats and all) the day after inauguration.
It’s called dissent. Which you don’t seem to like unless you do it.

We remember the 4 years of attacks and impeachments
Impeachment plural? Hmm. Anyway, if Trump hadn’t acted like a criminal asshole, he wouldn’t have gotten “impeacheds,” or been attacked.

We remember “not our president” and the “Resistance…”
We remember “Michelle is a man/gorilla,” and Obama is a Muslim Kenyan terrorist

We remember Maxie Walters telling followers to harass us in restaurants.
We remember Trumpers defacing Jewish graveyards and telling American citizens to “go back where they came from.”

We remember the Presidents spokesperson being kicked out a restaurant.
We remember Trump supporters yelling “lock her up.”

We remember hundreds of Trump supporters physically attacked.
I don’t. But I do remember thousands of Trump supporters calling a stupid white kid who killed two people “a hero.”

We remember Trump supporters getting Doxed, and fired from jobs.
You mean the people who re-enacted George Floyd’s death? Or the schoolteacher who posed semi-nude with a flag and guns? Those people?

We remember riots, and looting
We remember people who didn’t give a damn that a cop knelt on a black man’s neck until he died.

We remember “a comedian” holding up the President’s severed head.
A comedian who paid for it with a ruined career.

We remember a play in Central park paid with public funding, showing the killing of President Trump.
I got nothin’ on this one. Don’t even remember it.

We remember Robert de Niro yelling “F" Trump” at the Tony’s and getting a standing ovation.
We remember Trumpers forcing a bus off the road and endangering people’s lives.

We remember Nancy Pelosi tearing up the State of the Union Address.
We remember Trump shitting on the constitution.

We remember the total in the tank move on the mainstream media.
Except for Fox, OANN, all the media up Trump’s ass.

We remember the non-stop and live fact checking on our President and his supporters.
LOL. If Y’all didn’t lie, it wouldn’t be a problem.

We remember non-stop in your face lies and open cover-ups from the media.
Right. Those that aren’t OANN, Fox, etc.

We remember the President and his staff being spied on.
We remember them being investigated for possibly colluding with Russia.

We remember five Senators shot on a ballfield.
This is why we have so little respect for y’all. Can’t even get your facts right. Five PEOPLE, not senators. NO senator was shot, in fact. It was a congressman, one congressman. And the perp was caught and punished.

We remember every so-called comedy show turn into nothing but Trump hate fest.
EVERY president is roasted by comedy shows. Only Trump is such a little baby man he can’t take it. Neither can his baby followers.

We remember 95% negative coverage in the news.
Except, of course, in OANN, Fox, etc. Twenty-four hour adoration is the only thing you’ll stand for.

We remember the state governors asking and getting everything they ask for and then blaming Trump for their problems.
You mean the governor who had to buy PPE from China?

We remember a Trump top aid verbally assaulted in two DC restaurants.
You mean the aide (learn how to spell) whose department ripped children from their parents' arms at the border?

We remember people banging on the Supreme Court doors.
We remember people who plotted to kidnap a governor and livestream executions.

We remember that we were called every name in the book for supporting President Trump.
That’s what happens when you call the other side every name in the book. You don’t get a pass. Buck up, snowflakes.

We remember that Hollywood said they would leave after Trump was elected but they stayed.
This is just your imagination.

This list is endless, but you get the idea.
I get the idea that no one is a bigger baby than a Trumper.

My friends will be my friends, but a party that has been on the attack for 4 long years does not get a free pass with me! Come on ya'l know it’s true.
Here’s something that IS true. Trump lost. Get over it.

Room for improvement, obviously.

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/01/28/upshot/donald-trump-twitter-insults.html

That's just for starters. You could add the number of children separated from their families, held in cages and their families' contact info withheld from NGOs trying to reunite them. The number of people killed, threatened or physically attacked by Trump supporters. Here's a partial list that only goes to 8/2019, not including the Minneapolis Precinct 3 fire set by Trump supporters.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-interactive/2019/aug/28/in-the-name-of-trump-supporters-attacks-database

There's so much more. COVID-19 is a whole project in itself.

But seriously, some of these aren't even good arguments:

"We remember the non-stop and live fact checking on our President and his supporters." That's bad?

And I don't recall this one:

"We remember that Hollywood said they would leave after Trump was elected but they stayed."

Brought up to-date with suits and ties vs. togas and tunics. Caesar looked much like Trump, so the people on the Reich for whom outrage is an every day occurrence freaked out.

What is not mentioned in this Gish Gallop is two people rushed the stage disrupting the performance.

One was ambulatory Reich-wing hate/conspiracy factory, Jack Posobiec. The other was crackpot Laura Loomer.

Both were oddly silent about the Obama version of THE SAME PLAY in 2012. Imagine that?

More distant Trump voting relatives and recent in-laws quickly learn not to step in that.

There are endless ways to say "Fuck off, I don't want to hear or see your bullshit."

If said relatives want to stay in touch with you they will stop sending you their crap.

No, I haven't called them "every name in the book for supporting President Trump," but yes, I make it clear to them I do not respect their political or religious choices and I let them know it.

Anti-intellectualism is a crime in my family. Religion and politics are common topics of discussion at our dinner tables.

Deep down Trump supporters know how empty their lives are. Deep down they know the gods they worship, and the men they call their leaders, are petty, capricious, and cruel.

Deep down they are fearful and afraid to step out into the light.

You can throw them a lifeline, but they have to take it themselves. Whatever you do, don't let them suck you into their hell.

"Maxine" Waters, not "Maxie"
"doxxed," not "Doxed" - and no need for capitalization
"Tonys" or "Tony Awards" - no need for an apostrophe
"y'all," not "ya'l"
And if I'm not mistaken, they mean "pussyhats" rather than "vagina hats," a reference to their hero saying women would let him do anything to them because he's famous, including grabbing them by the pussy.

And, of course, at least half of their points are straight-up lies.
And even some of the ones that are true are like... ¯_(ツ _/¯...so what? And they pale in comparison to incidents of bad behavior from Trumpers and Trump himself.

When the President of the United States insists that the Election results are fraudulent, he in effect is saying that the United States no longer is a "government of the people, by the people, for the people".

Instead of "Making America Great Again", Trump is signing this country's death certificate.

but point out how they treated President Obama. They launched the “tea party” before he even had a chance to figure out where the Oval Office bathroom was. They questioned whether he was a citizen. They made sure that their representatives opposed him, in fact they DEMANDED that their representatives oppose him, even when President Obama was 100% right and acting totally in the nation’s best interests. President Obama authorized the raid on bin laden, a move that would have ended his Presidency had it failed, they said that was nothing, anyone would have done that, even when close to half of President Obama’s senior advisers were against the raid. Say the name Merrick Garland to them and explain how their party defied historical norms and didn’t even give him a hearing.

Lastly, point out that every President meets resistance, but their behavior for the last 4 decades have gone well past simple political difference, they have sought at every turn to take away out citizenship. We are not the ones worshipping a Russian dictator who has only bad intentions toward all of us.
