Apparently, armed right-wing thugs have been going

To election officials' homes to demand that they do something.

That led me to think about how I would react to a group of armed people who were not police coming to my house. It seems to me that I would assume that they meant me harm. I would call the police, express my fear of being harmed by an armed mob, and ask them to come to my aid.

Doesn't that seem reasonable? Of course, I would also arm myself and go into my defensive plan.

Black boy, toy gun, Cleveland Ohio...DEAD in SECONDS after police arrived...Tamir Rice.
Black man, selling cigarettes, New York...DEAD in MINUTES after police choked him to death (illegal hold)...Eric Garner.
Black man, arrested on city street, Minnesota...DEAD in 9+ MINUTES after police pinned him to the ground and ignored his pleas...George Floyd.

And that is not even the top of the tip of the iceberg...

Dylan Roof? Shot? Cuffed and slammed into the ground? Dead? Nope...that is "white peopling that shit".
Kyle Rittenhouse? Killed while brandishing illegally obtained weapon in public? Nope...cause celebrity for the New Nazis...

Those people brandishing weapons and making terroristic threats MUST be prosecuted, MUST be tried and IF guilty must not only go to prison, they MUST LOSE THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS, PERIOD.

Fuck them and fuck this mob mentality.
If they refuse to leave or resist in any way, then its time for the police to stop the "white people" kid gloves treatment.

Dec 2020

DETROIT, MI - About 20-30 protesters, some open-carrying guns, gathered outside Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson’s home Saturday night to challenge President-elect Joe Biden’s win in Michigan, police said.

Officers responded to a public disturbance around 9:50 p.m., Dec. 5 outside of Benson’s Detroit residence, said the Michigan State Police. Some of the protesters carried weapons, police said, and the crowd dispersed once officers arrived. No protesters were arrested, police said. Detroit police were called to the scene, as well.

Guns don't scare OR irritate me. People who love their guns, who talk about them constantly, who take pictures of them, etc... irritate me. A gun is basically an inert object with the potential to be dangerous. It's the idiots who can't shut up about them that create the problems.

Case in point, buddy and me were surrounded by one of those idiot Orange trains outside of Philly. He has a Biden Harris sticker on back. One of the Cultists pointed his finger at us in a shooting position. My buddy rolled down the window and flashed his conceal carry permit At him and yelled, “the last thing you want to do is fuck with a liberal and his gun.” The he screamed are you an idiot for pointing his finger like that as the cultist drove off away at high speed while his group broke off and let us pass.

My defensive plan is to hunker down in the master bedroom on the 2nd floor and have the bedroom door locked and dead bolted. If they break into the home and trash the 1st floor, that's fine. If they try to break into the master bedroom after repeated warnings to go away and that we are armed, then the shooting starts.

We can argue this all night, but I'm not just going to sit back and let a group of crazy, armed cultists come only my property and threaten me. That is a clear and present danger and I'll defend myself with force and I don't need to wait for them to attack before I do it.

Michigan law specifically states that you have no duty to retreat and may use deadly force as long as you are in a place you are legally able to be and not engaged in the commission of a crime if you believe you must to stop immediate harm to yourself or another.
