Time’s “person of the year” is not meant to mean “outstanding person of the year” or “most admirable person of the year”. It is meant for someone newsworthy for whatever reason. By this metric tRump probably should have been 2016’s “person of the year”, as his very unexpected ascendency to the highest office in the land was indeed newsworthy. 2020? Not so much, unless he actually manages to destroy democracy.

Don’t forget, Hitler was once on the cover for this distinction. It’s not meant as an approval of what they are doing, only the newsworthiness of it. But of course, I hope the dumpster doesn’t get it, as HE will certainly take it as approval.

Hell, he’ll probably file a court case to overturn the election results based on it!
