Be still my heart!

Just got the news about my social security COLA for 2021. I'm getting a raise -- $11 a month! Wheeee!

If I'm not around for a few days, it's just because I'll be so busy moving into the lap of luxury.
Or so Mitch McConnell and his cronies believe.

She's a widow with a pension as well as SS, and some annuities as well, so her MediCare premiums went up 4% because her annual income is just above average. She's not rich; she's a retired University administrative assistant and Dad was a retired high school teacher with 24 years in the military reserves for his retirement, so they were "comfortable", but not much more.

I guess we are supposed to be ether poor or super wealthy when we retire.

based on means testing a deduction for Part B Medicare based on an aberrant tax return for 2019. I've already filed an appeal, but who knows how long it will take for them to make a decision.

They probably raised your Medicare payments by $12. I don't think I've ever seen a net gain in my payments-it's all been offset by an increase in my Medicare costs. USA! USA! USA!

$19 big ones!

But, they’re raising Medicare deduction from $144 to $148, so it’s down to $15.

Bastards, eating my meager lunch.
