The GOP is up to something. They are showing you who they are. They do not believe in Democracy.

Fmr. Republican strategist Steve Schmidt joins Lawrence O’Donnell to discuss how some House Republicans refusing to accept that Biden won means “we’re one election away from losing the country to people who do not believe in democracy.”

It is the breaking of the system. They do not love or believe in democracy. One person one vote.

This whole show is about appeasement. Ted Cruz and others are aligning themselves for 2024. They will clamor for the Trump base.

A little riff on Benjamin Franklin's comment at the birth of our democratic republic.

Member of the GOP? A Trump voter?

You are charged with amoral, anti-American activities. Unconstitutional sedition and undermining the proper governing of the country!
How plead you?
PROVE you are not guilty!

(Hey, if Trump's lawyers can bring forth accusations of vote rigging without any burden of proof, so can Democratic Party lawyers! That door swings both ways!)

To be fair to them, this country has never been about democracy. The existence of the senate and electoral college is proof of that

But literally as long as ive been alive(I assume longer, but I wasnt there to testify to it), RW adherents have been pointing out that we are a republic, not a democracy, and sighing wistfully for the days when the states got to pick their senators, not us voting rabble.
