That may be the most serious loss from the Trump years?
Without justice, there can be no Constitution, no democracy, no freedom.
When people can flagrantly violate the laws of our country, because of position or whatever, the country can not long last.
When elected Senators turn the other way as laws are broken and the Justice Department becomes a partisan apparatus to help their Leader , then democracy as we know it, cannot survive.
America is definitely at a crossroads.

(5,915 posts)You can date it from either Bush v. Gore in 2000, or Herrera v. Collins in 1993. Both are "legal" decision which made a mockery of the law and the concept of justice.

Get tried for treason and be imprisoned.
or
If they are dumb enough to rise up against the U.S. government, they will feel the full force of the business end of our military.
