Yes. All credit to the Trump. He slaved away week after week at his lab on the 14th fairway. (Original Post) kpete Dec 2020 OP

under these conditions.

It may have taken a little longer to cut some red tape while they actually weighed the options and potential consequences, but it wouldn't have slowed down the vaccine developers. If they were ready and asking to go ahead with human trials, no president would have held them up.

Any other president-- even W.!-- would have taken this viral threat seriously back in January or February. They would have directed labs to begin trying to understand the virus in order to create the vaccines. We probably would have had the vaccines a few months ago.

But you, Trump, sat on your hands and did nothing! You publicly denied the disease. You publicly lied about the dangers. And you publicly misled the American people such that we have now had 300,000 deaths on your watch.

How about if we just name the pandemic after you. Think of how famous you'll be throughout history!

If I recall correctly, we had two infections and no deaths from a disease that was ravaging Africa. That was because the Obama administration got going right away, listened to the public health professionals, and took appropriate countermeasures that stopped ebola cold. Compare and contrast with the Trump administration reaction to Covid-19, which killed another 3,411 Americans yesterday, with total deaths about to break 300,000. Why isn't Trump stepping up to say he must get credit for that?
