General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsMy email sent to Austin Scott, my Georgia representative in who has signed on with Texas to ...
... overturn the election.
"Sir, Have you no decency? You are supposed to represent Georgia yet you are attempting to nullify every Georgian's vote, whether they are republican or democrat. You know full well that there was no voter fraud in Georgia. You disgust me sir and should be removed from office. Resign so we can have a representative that supports Georgia voters who is not a COWARD."

(24,653 posts)"Get your name off that stupid law suit and spare our district the embarrassment. I'd like to think you're better than this. I have my doubts, but some optimism too. There is no need for you to pander to Trump. He's going into the dustbin of history shortly. So if you don't have any Russian kompromat to worry about, get your name off that undemocratic anti-American insulting document and support the will of the American voters."
A relative sent this:
"Wow. Just wow. Yesterday, I was relieved to see your name was not with the other 100+ traitors. It was like a punch in the gut to see your name added today, and to express pride for it through social media. How dare you, sir! You know damn well the elections were run fairly and Joe Biden is the president-elect through a legitimate process. Trump's campaign has had every ridiculous lawsuit thrown out and all they are doing is spreading lies to shred our democracy. They are going scorched earth because they are terrified of the legal troubles ahead of them because of a lifetime of criminality. Are you in the same boat? Is it fear of what will be uncovered about you that is motivating your sedition? It is outrageous you would want to be associated with a group of people hell-bent on dismantling our government and trying to turn it into a dictatorship. I remain utterly astounded Donald J. Trump is the hill Republicans are choosing to die on. A man who is the walking embodiment of the seven deadly sins. He demands loyalty, but gives none. Sir, did you not take an oath to the United States Constitution? Last time I checked, that was a document which provided the framework for our government, not an individual. Grow a spine and do the right thing, sir. Otherwise, you can bank on your place in history being sealed on the dung heap Trump has created."

(209 posts)I've not finished my response, but it takes the form of Thank you.
Thank you for signifying that you are an idiot. Are you actually trying to nullify your recent re-election?
Thank you for admitting that you are a seditious coward that would rather nullify the votes of your constituents than stand up for Democracy.
Thank you for showing us the buffoon that you are that does not know the difference between a serious legal complaint and a pardon appeal masquerading behind a publicity stunt.
Thank for putting your name to the fact that you are not worthy to represent anybody in any legislature or hold any office of governance in the United States.
How soon can we expect you to resign and follow your natural calling? Whenever, it is not soon enough, Clown.
