One of the perverse things about these election lawsuits is that merely dressing an idea up in legal clothing makes it carry weight to nonlawyers. Lawyers have often exploited this tendency. And they are doing so now.

But to give my non-lawyer friends some idea of how crazy they are: the guy ranting on the street-corner about the end of the world has more theological backing than these suits have in law. And the spelling on the placard he wears around his neck is probably better.
