I know that they’re upset, and all, but calling for secession is a really bad idea—you would think that TX would have learned its lesson the first time.

on the grounds that they didn't want states like Pennsylvania and Michigan and Wisconsin telling them what to do. Maybe this time we should just let them go.

I'll miss San Antonio and Austin, though.

Would seniors still get Social Security checks? Would Texas lose all of the Army, Navy, And AF bases?
Would the "Wall" be on the north side or the south? The list of things that would be affected is long.
An incredibly ignorant threat.
Texas came close to turning blue this time. Texas is a part of the USA and will stay that way.

from its highest court and declaring the desire to secede from the nation of that Constitution to form a new nation with the exact same Constitution they so clearly reject?

What they really mean is - They want the Constitution to apply to only certain people. People like them - who look like them and think as they do. That they should be the only ones to determine who holds office. That other people don't count. They want absolute rule determined by them, for them, of them. Fuck the rest of us.

They make a claim. Multiple claims. Claims that don't hold because there is no evidence. Claims that are obviously a push to overturn a legal election simply because they don't like the results. They lose. Repeatedly. But they're the victims because the courts don't agree that the Constitution applies only to them?

They're anti-America. Anti-American. Anti-United States' Constitution. America is meaningless to them. The Constitution is meaningless to them.

Power and getting their way holds meaning for them. Being able to control others holds meaning to them.

But America - the letter and spirit of her laws, her democratic norms and traditions - hold no meaning to them.

They are traitors to America.
