(2,626 posts)But every single one of us can make sure the schools in our districts are teaching Civics courses, at the very least.
Every student in middle school should be able to pass the exam that immigrants to the United States must pass to become citizens.
If we want a country with a secure future as a Constitutional Republic then we must see to it that our children learn what that means. We need them to understand that Democracy isn't a spectator sport but requires participation in order to remain sound.
There's much more that can be done but this would be a good start.
