Why would 2 senators arbitrarily divest in certain stocks and invest in body bag manufacturing?

.

Meidas Touch: After Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue received classified briefings on COVID-19, they downplayed the risks and invested in body bags. Loeffler and Perdue are dead wrong for Georgia. This video was produced in partnership with Progress Action Fund.

That's what smells really fishy about their stock buys.

and the public. So worse than profiting from death really. From public leaders, can’t get more disgustingly corrupt than that.

They should be removed from office. I can't understand how they are still in the running.

or own any stock, our bonds except for a 401K under the same rules as everyone else. I feel the temptation has always been there, many are guilty on both sides of the aisles.

If a person or their family wants to be in stocks and bonds, then don't run for office.

two senate thugs cheated, plain and simple and took advantage of the rest of us saps who didn't have any insider knowledge (which they did, and profited from). They both should be hauled up and charged w/ a crime, insider trading.

Can't help but wonder whether tRump's family is invested in this company....or perhaps one of his debtors is heavily invested. Would be an easy way to pay off some debt. just sayin'

I kept wondering why then while they were insisting on reopening and channeling militants to Michigan and elsewhere for haircuts while telling grandma to die for the economy.

I knew there had to be a profit motive and Trump’s tied to Perdue and Loeffler as he pushed people into harm’s way to increase the “demand” for bags.

WASHINGTON — The federal government placed orders for well over 100,000 new body bags to hold victims of COVID-19 in April, according to internal administration documents obtained by NBC News, as well as public records. The biggest set was earmarked for purchase the day after President Donald Trump projected that the U.S. death toll from the coronavirus might not exceed 50,000 or 60,000 people.

When asked in the past about the contrast between his assessments and those of senior officials on his task force, Trump has described his role as "cheerleader" for the country. "I want to give people in this country hope," he said in March.

The body bag order, confirmed by internal administration communications obtained by NBC News, is in addition to shipments of several thousand more body bags from vendors for the General Services Administration and the Defense Logistics Agency. The VA, meanwhile, paid the supply distributor ISO Group $293,780 for an unknown number of body bags to be fully delivered Thursday. The contract states that the purchase is "in response to COVID-19." ISO notes on its website that the federal government has awarded eight contracts for that specific body bag in the past 90 days for a total of $12.1 million.
