I once flirted with Twitter. Before I knew how to manage (and later leave), I had all these weird out-of-nowhere "people" start to follow me. The had no followers or orginal content and their photos looked like stock. I worked PR and also discovered that you can "buy" followers to say "See! I'm a thought leader. Look at all the people who hang on to evey opinion I have!"

All a scam. All...ONE...BIG...SCAM. Boost Twitter's profile. Boost their stock price. Make their investors rich.

Twitter looooooooved Trump, because their brand gets free publicity in the nightly news when Trump fires off some provocative message.
