the number of registered republicans by considerable margins. It was observed that the proportion of new registrations for Dem. or Rep. appeared to be inverted in the final tallies in a number of counties. Such efficiencies don't generally happen so neatly in real world numbers.

I'm not saying whether McConnell won or not. I'm saying the way he won seems remarkable, suspicious, and deserving of much closer examination.

ES&S voting machinery are most vulnerable by intention. That doesn't rule out interference downstream at the regional or state level tally as previously was the case in Ohio. During one election the Ohio tallies were processed via an out of state server located in Tennessee which took in all the numbers from the districts in Ohio and then sent back a set of combined results which curiously disagreed with exit polls and on the ground observers. That happened prior to 2016.

Ohio has been bent since W ran.

In fact, I'd read that when the Florida results came in, Trump thought the election was in the bag, just like 2016.

So, you can imagine what a shock it was when things went south on Trump. His final count sounded like a winning score--he keeps repeating that vote count, 74 million.

The problem, of course, is that Joe Biden won over 81 million votes.

The Trumpers simply didn't see that huge number of Democratic voters coming, so the screaming and squawking started immediately.

Did they cheat/suppress the vote but not enough? I don't know.

But they're certainly bad losers.

He knows he didn’t win and knew he wasn’t going to. Thats why he started crying about fraudulent mail in ballots and nonsense about stopping counting on election night a month or more before the election. That’s also why they pushed gop legislatures in the upper midwest not to count mail ballots early. He already knew he’d be ahead at some point when polls closed and he was counting on his home picked supreme court to carry his bullshit over the finish line if he could stir up enough doubt and confusion over the mail.

In his warped mind, Biden's (intentionally) smaller, more laid back rallies were somehow an indication that nobody likes him. So, how could Sleepy Joe win, when everyone loves MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE more???? When you are the leader of a cult of personality, it's hard to comprehend the idea that not everyone needs to worship the guy they elect as their president, as his flying monkey followers do him.

He only hears voices from those who are just like him so he thinks that only some small minority fools don't agree with him. If everyone told you, for years, that the sky was really green, you may begin to believe that blue is really green.

How could a majority of Americans possibly reject him?

Of course, we don't know what he really thinks and you can't depend on a single word that comes out of his mouth, so we will never know if the "fraud" issue is just a another fraud, or whether he really believes it. Furthermore, it doesn't really matter.

He can't believe that 80 million people voted for Biden, but we're supposed to believe that he got 7 million more votes than last time? They cheated all right. Not enough to take the White House again, but certainly enough to pick up House seats, and hold onto the Senate...for now. Personally, I think Vlad the Impaler got bored with Donald, realized he was never going to make it, and turned his sights onto crippling Biden by keeping Congress.

OK, starting with the legit 81+million votes Biden got, and figuring the idiots in Trump's campaign believed their own propaganda, I'm figuring they thought that a 10% increase in Trump votes over 2016 would be enough to beat "Sleepy Joe". Remember that these are some of the same people the Mueller Report basically said didn't full out collude with the Russians because they were too stupid to figure out what they were being offered. Actually, they probably went up 20% because they wanted to insure the damn fool's margin was big enough to fit his ego. I'll bet in reality, they lost a lot of the people who voted for him in 2016.

So to get back to your original thought...I'd describe the real margin as "Kicked Ass".

It explains Trump's unwavering, rock-solid conviction that Biden had to have won by massive fraud. His behavior, on the face of it, is puzzling because there's no evidence of widespread fraud whatsoever. The key that makes sense of it all is that Trump can't openly state what his conviction is based on: "I cheated, and yet he won -- so therefore, he HAD to have cheated."

Occam's Razor. It is the simplest explanation that explains Trump's otherwise absurd behavior.

President Trump: The FBI Director is wrong. Because, frankly, it doesn’t happen like that in life. Now, maybe it will start happening. Maybe today you think differently. But two or three years ago, if somebody comes into your office with oppo research-- they call it oppo research--with information that might be good or bad or something, but good for you, bad for your opponent, you don’t call the FBI. I would guarantee you that 90 percent, could be 100 percent, of the congressmen or the senators over there, have had meetings--if they didn’t they probably wouldn’t be elected-- on negative information about their opponent. They don’t--

Stephanopoulos: From foreign countries?

President Trump: Possibly. Possibly. But they don’t call the FBI. You don’t call the FBI every time you hear something that maybe--now, you see the people. The meeting, it also sounds to me--I don’t know anything about that meeting--but it sounds to me like it was a big nothing. That meeting was a big nothing. But I heard about my son, who is a great young man, going to jail over a meeting where somebody said, “I have information on Hillary Clinton.” She’s the one that should be in jail. He's never gotten over HRC's popular vote and made sure that the cheat would give him big numbers. The cheat in 2016 was to steal a few swing states by padding a few votes here and there, suppress enough to pull out electoral win.
