I don't know why anyone would claim that Jesus was nonviolent, when the stories clearly say the opposite.

So, he at least threatened them with it, even if he actually didn't use it on them.

If someone did today what Jesus is said to have done in the Temple, he'd very rightly land in jail with a stack of felony charges.

John 8,7 was added much later to the book. It was not in the earliest "witnesses".

The Law as portrayed in the Bible contains many capital offenses.
