Covid19

Hi ya all, I have been working 9 12 hour shifts as a respiratory therapist, please do not gather at Christmas and New Years this time so we can all gather safely next year. I had to take care of 18 high flow Covid patients for nine days in a row now and everyday we had to intubate 3 at a time and they did the next day and do the same thing over and over. We have multiple Covid patients in Er with an 8 to 12 hour wait. Please please do not travel nor gather with friends and families, I have too many couples and their daughter all on the same floor on high flows of oxygen and they all gathered together during thanksgiving and some of the patients all travelled from different states . Please I beg all of you to mask up with surgical mask, social distance wash your hands and please Do not gather with friends and families this coming holidays. Please pray for us all.

Most of us here are real good at following those rules, may not like it but we trust the scientists.

I've been double-masking... not sure it's that much safer, but I figure what the first mask doesn't stop, the second should.

Want to stay safe for myself, of course, but also so I don't add to the terrible burden you healthcare workers are facing.

I'm glad we're getting rid of that terrible Trump, who vilified healthcare workers so many times, saying they lied about the deaths, lied about what we need to do, and even profited from people dying. He is the worst man alive.

I hope some day the nation can find some way to thank all of you for this terrible traumatic year. You are the real heroes. You all deserve a year off with pay.

7. There are not enough words to thank all of you on the front lines of this plague for all you do.

Please take good care of yourself. Pretty sure most of us here are doing all the precautions as best we can, thank goodness.

I will see the six grown kids and their families by FaceTime I guess

I don’t want to make it harder for you and other healthcare workers, wish we could do more

Thank you for your sacrifice!

I am so sorry that you have to deal with the selfishness, contempt, and recklessness of nearly half of the population.
