48 years ago on this day December 18, Joe Biden lost his first wife and daughter

in that horrific car accident.
He really is the Ambassador of grief! He knows what it is to lose people he loved.

Although I never met her, her family's legacy is quite apparent in Downtown Auburn, NY.

The food, the atmosphere, the booths with little jukeboxes are all worth the trek.

If you do, let me know beforehand and I'll show up with the doob - Hunter's food (already great) is made so much better when you're baked (speaking from experience )

I went into a brief panic because it sounded so much like an obituary and for a second I thought Joe had died during the night. That loss of wife and daughter was a horrible, horrible thing to have happened. I sometimes think of people I've cared about and lost and it's shocking sometimes to think how long ago it was. Guess that's a curse of growing old.
