Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsVP Mike Pence got the vaccine and said, "I didn't feel a thing." The self-professed Christian also
didn't feel a thing when his administration:
* forcibly separated children from their parents at the border with no plan to reunite them
* ignored a pandemic that killed 311,000 Americans (and counting)
* encouraged violence in the streets
* ignored gun violence
* spread hatred
* lied about everything at every opportunity

(17,336 posts)He gave a nice speech for as much as one can when your crazy boss is watching your performance. Pence and his wife are highly respected in the evangelical community where anti-vaxxers and Trumpers reside. We can hope this will tamp down at least some of the conspiracy theories and other nonsense going around about the vaccine.
Adams gave good comments, too, directed at the AfAm community where polling shows distrust of the vaccine is high.
Fauci also gave good remarks and answered the top two concerns many Americans have about the vaccine, that it was not rushed, indeed is the product of many years of research, and that thanks to the 1,000s of clinical trial volunteers has been shown to be safe and effective.
This doesn't mean I approve of the things Trump did where Pence looked the other way, either.

... your crazy boss is watching
Not going to let this excuse ride, the vice presidency is a constitutional office & the president has no power over him. We've had a few independent minded vice presidents that couldn't be managed - notably, for better and worse, Aaron Burr. Mr Pence could've been better all along.
