Why can't we use the National Defense Act to have other companies manufacture the vaccine?

We are at war with an unseen enemy that kills people. Surely there's companies who have the
capabilities to start producing this vaccine other than the current 2. Sooner we eliminate this
virus from the face of the earth will be a positive for mankind.

But if enough Senators and Representatives got MSM involved in promoting it, it could happen.

I'm sure it takes quite a bit of tooling to get set up to produce the vaccine for one thing. But the more important thing I've heard is that there are shortages showing up in just getting the supply of materials to produce the vaccine itself. So increasing capacity won't help much if there are not enough materials to produce it.

I'm also sure that trump doesn't give a squat about improving the supply chain. He probably never even had a plan in the first place.
We can take comfort knowing that the Biden team will be on the job in a month and we'll have real experts working to get the whole thing moving full steam ahead.

"Operation Warp Speed" could have been addressing these problems since it started. There are knowledgeable people, many inside of the pharmaceutical industry themselves that understand supply chain management, as well as distribution issues that could have been planning and coordinating for months. Alas...

But remember the part where suddenly Jared had a new job and all the stockpile was gone and PPE was confiscated at delivery and all that back last spring?

That's why we can't have the NDA have companies do that. They opted for the full profit mode instead of patriotic mode.

Really sad our country has gone to hell in such a short period of time and repugs aren't smart enough
to see it but instead want to crown a king.
