Trump is in a 'super depression'

I heard that comment on either MSNBC or CNN tonight.

It was in reference as to why Trump has not commented on the recent cyber attack on the U.S.,
the massive rising death totals from COVID-19,
or the distribution of the new vaccines.

Apparently Trump is overwhelmed with depression and cannot imagine that he really lost the election.
He worshipped authoritarian leaders, and can't believe he can't cling to power somehow.

Personally I think Trump hasn't commented on the crises because he doesn't give a shit.

I don’t like opinion stated as fact. That’s Fox News territory.

Twitter largely silent
No real public appearances
Russian cyber attack
Trump never even mentioning the cyber attack, or anything else
Biden's transition team suddenly shut out of the pentagon, no more updates on cyber attack
Trump suddenly shuttering our embassies in Russia (embassies are always CIA listening posts)
No funding for vaccines after election, never any serious funding for distribution

I'm sure the intelligence committees know what's up but can't talk about it. But you can be sure they're freaking out. Maybe we'll be lucky and a reporter will go out to pick up their morning paper and notice a big envelope stuffed into their mailbox.

Depression almost always includes various degrees of lethargy. You don't even want to do the fun things (let alone the usual obligations).

I don't know maybe depressed and furious? Not sure of that combination.

Or as someone pointed he's not depressed because he's in on it (I'm assuming that refers to letting Putin's people hack our various institutions and others).

I'm concerned about Americans (not the worst ones too much).
And the rest of the whole world, too.

While he was traipsing about playing golf, saying Covid-19 was a Democratic hoax, working on delaying legal ballots from being counted, gutting our cyber security (as Russia was walking in our back door to sink hooks into our infrastructure!), attempting to circumvent our very democracy and working out an angle to personally profit from doing so... We've been busy dealing with not being able to see our families and loved ones. Trying to avoid a pandemic we've been tossed to the wolves to try and survive. With no federal guidance, because it was bad for his 'campaign' to admit it was going to kill us. Which it has, in massive numbers. We've watch our friends in healthcare die, our loved ones in nursing homes die, our grandparents, parents, siblings and yes, even our children in some cases die from the pandemic.

We've lost our jobs, or saw a huge reduction in income if we're service workers. Or, we're having to work because we're "essential" and our clients and customers think potentially exposing us to the virus by not wearing masks is a fun political statement for them to make. We've lost damn near everything and the tiniest thread we still have is in tatters and we're about to fall into the abyss. And, we're the lucky ones. Many of us here in America are already there. The list of our grievances goes on and on!

That such a narcissistic man may be feeling depressed is truly of no concern to me after all he's done to us. I'll be glad when he's a bad memory in our history.

It's not like starting some big company, where you grab some questionable collateral, borrow $400 million from a friendly bank, make yourself CEO, pay yourself a big salary, hire some toadies to tell you you're the greatest, and hope that things go well enough so the loan never gets called in. If it does, hire lawyers to get your ass out of the sling, declare bankruptcy, and start all over again.

You can hire 81 lawyers. You can't hire 81 million voters. They're not for sale, you can't sue them, and you can't get a court order taking away their right to vote (Republicans have been trying for decades, so they know).

Many foreign leaders have told him that they wish they could get as depressed as he was.

A lot of people have called him and told him that they were depressed but couldn't believe how much more depressed he was than they were. Dozens of waitresses called him and told him that if they were as depressed as he was they would start cutting themselves.

Trump isn’t too depressed to hold a rally or plot a coup or meet with umpteen fascist enablers or choose replacements for all the people he has fired or call in to hate radio or hate tv. Or grift or steal or bully.

He’s making plenty of decisions, isn’t he? Which agency he’ll ruin next, which dictator he’ll praise tomorrow, which offspring he’ll try to pardon first.

Trump is probably a little edgy right now, trying to figure out how to stay in power so he doesn’t have to face the SDNY and whatever else folks have in store for him. Bully King is about to be dragged off his throne....and he knows it. Hence, the ploy.
