I got some news for everyone. The military swears an oath to the constitution and won't break it for a wannabe Hitler mobbed-up trust fund baby reality television host.

As an oath taker, I resent all that has taken place over the past four years. I suspect the vast majority of the citizens who have feel the same and understand their responsibilities.

Flynn has disgraced his Military, the Army and even though Trump pardoned him he keeps going.

If they file sedation charges after Trump leaves that pardon means nothing in a new charge.

I'm a member of a couple of Marine Corps groups on Facebook and most of the members back Trump unashamedly. I'm certain that there are more than a few of them that would be willing to take up arms in support of Trump. We liberal members occasionally remind them that we, too, own firearms.

My Dad did 2 separate enlistments in the US Army WW II and later during the Vietnam era. His whole life was in public service which is something these assholes don't comprehend.

Dad said that we don't fight for the flag. We fight for the Constitution.

I'll go a step further for guys like me. I remain an Army officer, just a retired one. I do not draw a pension. I receive reduced pay for reduced services.

The oath is still binding.

It's a constant danger to democracy that many humans are too frightened, greedy, or uninformed to sustain a democratic structure.

I think the United States is at a particularly vulnerable place right now. Misinformation spread by the internet is dragging us down.

And now their descendants live in a country that knows that with freedoms come responsibilities; where political campaigns last no longer than 5 weeks and campaign donors (individual and corporate) are severely limited in the $$ they can give; where healthcare is a right and not a privilege; and where their country has been named, 2 years in a row, as having the best quality of life.

We need to nominate and elect candidates who are not security risks. Trump has to be an outlier in this process; we've gone far enough with the whole "Anybody can grow up to be President" thingy.

would be against anything close to following an order like that, including I'm sure almost every senior officer. However, let's not overlook the infiltration in the ranks of neo-nazi groups like the Order of the Nine Angels and officers who might be pilled to the gills like Mike Flynn.

That's not enough to have a successful coup, but it is enough to cause violence.
