Overwhelmed by tears every time I think of this.

To all the public servants who have been steadfast in holding the line to protect our Democratic Republic from the onslaught of the suppressors working to take us down, you have my undying gratitude. Our country owes you a debt that we can never repay. With deep gratitude and great respect, I am so glad you are here for such a time as this. Thank you.

I'm talking about the judges that kicked tRump lawsuits to the curb, the State Dept. employees who have held the line despite tRump's best efforts to knock them off their feet, our intelligence agencies whose dedicated employees continue to act on our behalf despite a POTUS who does nothing but falsely accuse. I'm talking about the government agencies whose employees have the best interest of their fellow citizens at heart.
I'm not referring to tRump appointees although many of them have surprised us. I'm talking about our fellow citizens who are doing all they can to hold this country together for you and me and those we love until this reality shit-show plays itself out and he is gone from Our House.

edited for clarity.

Whenever I get depressed thinking of 70-million with shit for brains, I remember the quality we have on our side. In fact, ALL of the quality in this Democratic Republic is on our side. Thank you all.

They had no power but at least they showed vigilance and resolve to defend our country from this onslaught. We would have been in the dark without them.

And sacrifice for the good of all us. We will not forget. I just handed my mailman a Christmas card..he was , like, wow! I’ve sent notes in the inbox at my mail boxes for months now thanking them for the almost impossible b-s they’ve had to put up with since before the election. So many others , too. This has been some 4 years..no..we will not forget.

I have to fingerprint necessary workers for the County like nurses and doctors so I literally touch people every day even with precautions like masks, Plexiglass and gloves and I STILL get nervous.

There are many many stories we will never hear of people doing the right thing day after day when all around them they are seeing a service they have likely dedicated their lives too be denigrated or dismantled to such a state as to barely be operative.

Thank you to all in the background that we will never hear about who actions have held the line and probably saved our Democracy...for now at least.

holding a functioning (albeit not at premium levels) government together under very trying circumstances indeed, and not buckling to what I'm sure was the wishes and sometimes demands of their temporary elected masters.

They have done a LOT more to keep America together - as bruised and bloodied as it is - than the vast majority has even an inkling of.

And as a proud Deep State Alumni, THANK YOU! It’s the career folks that will hold this country together. While many have left in the last four years there are many that have stuck it out and many others standing in the wings to fix all that has been broken. We owe them all our gratitude.
