New York Mayor Bill de Blasio mocked Fox News's coverage of remarks he made last week in which he said he sees "redistribut[ing] wealth" as part of his mission in overseeing the city's education system.
Addressing underserved neighborhoods in the city and those hardest-hit by the coronavirus pandemic and its economic fallout, de Blasio said in a Monday briefing "we've got to right the wrong by making them the priority. So that's what we will be doing as we go into 2021, as we go into the next school year."
De Blasio said the network "apparently was very interested" in his Friday remarks on redistribution. "I'm going to say it one more time in case Fox News is watching again: 'NYC mayor sees the redistribution of wealth as an important factor toward ending structural racism in education,' " de Blasio said, quoting the Fox News headline.

"Exactly right. I don't get to say it very often, but Fox News got it exactly right. Amen," de Blasio said. "We are going to fight structural racism through redistribution, so Fox News, congratulations, fair and balanced coverage right there."
