Its been called the Billionaire Bunker and one of the wealthiest, private, most secure communities in Miami Beach and the world.
Indian Creek is a village of just 42 people on a tiny private island in Miamis Biscayne Bay.
Its Billionaire Bunker nickname stems from its wildly wealthy and high-profile residents - including billionaire investor Carl Icahn, supermodel Adriana Lima, Spanish singer Julio Iglesias, former Sears CEO Eddie Lampert and car-dealership tycoon Norman Braman.
And now, according to a Page Six report, the island may be getting a new pair of ultra-wealthy and ultra-famous residents: Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.
The couple are said to have dropped over US$30 million on a waterfront lot on the exclusive island after Iglesias put it up for sale earlier this year.

The 1.8-acre lot at 4 Indian Creek Island Rd, in Indian Creek Village, FL - recently closed on by Jared and Ivanka Kushner from Spanish crooner Julio Iglesias for a reported $30 million.
Iglesias had purchased the lot in 2014 for $21.6 million - but never had a home built on the site.

Tom Brady is fully embracing life as a Florida Man.
The Buccaneers quarterback and his wife, Gisele Bündchen, are new owners of a property on Indian Creek Island also known as billionaires bunker Page Six reported Thursday. And the former six-time Patriots Super Bowl champion made it clear during his weekly media availability that he wont be making New England home again anytime soon given how much hes enjoying the climate in his new state.
I was a native Californian for a long time in my life and went away from it for about 25 years. You wont catch me dead living in the Northeast anymore, Brady told reporters Thursday. Im loving the warm weather and its been a great feeling.

(23,187 posts)The day Eddie "the lamprey" Lampert moved in - with all that money he sucked out of Sears, that alone was a bad enough sign.
They still have several empty lots available for Colombian narcos, hedge fund launderers, and other assorted swamp creatures.
Then again, with the rise in sea levels...

(23,187 posts)Personally, I can't imagine why anyone - having the means to really choose - would opt for such an unhealthy climate.
The fact that they feel the need to air-condition even their back yards is proof that they don't really enjoy it either - and who could! (except perhaps in winter, which as you know is lovely there).

(27,165 posts)Palm Beach is primarily a winter residence, as it was for the Kennedys. They'd spend Thanksgiving on Cape Cod, then move down to their Palm Beach house until Easter, when they'd head back north. Of course the Trumps are of a different lot. Tres Gauche.

I can just picture them:
"Jared! Get the baby!"
"Eww! And get my Loubutins wet? No way!"
"Well, get the Monet at least!"
"Awmygosh! Claude - here I come!!"
