Is he conspiring to cover up Putin's recent hacking of critical government computers and systems?
If so, he is in direct violation of the oath of office that he took..
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against ALL ENEMIES, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."
That old saying..
The cover up is almost always worse than the crime.
To president-elect Joe. Please do the right thing. Have Trump arrested.
Prosecute his Fascist ass.

(14,907 posts)what law is broken and by what deed. Violating the oath of office -- outside of doing so in a manner which itself would be a crime for any non-oath-taker performing the same action -- is not a crime, AFAIK.
One could perform an act which is both/simultaneously a violation of the oath and a crime, but in that case he could/would just be prosecuted for the crime.

(2,966 posts)Now, I'd be perfectly fine the next day for Trump to be pulled out of Mar a Lago at 7AM by NY AG or NYC folks. Handcuffs will probably have to suffice although a taser shot or two to get him in them would be okay. I think leg irons are a prison thing, not an initial arrest thing but not my area of expertise.

Infuriating!

Thought for a moment I was finally going to get to hear what word these attorneys are using to mean treason. But maybe that's it at the end.
