if you put on a pretty good act, you can raise more money. This is all about money. I am not saying all pastors are this way, but the more you throw emotion into the act, the more money rolls in. I soured on religion many years ago when our pastor told our congregation there were sample ballots in the foyer to show how to vote on the new ballots to be used the following Tuesday. EVERY repug was checked. My wife and I never went back.
