My ex-husband had a malaprop way with words. Instead of saying “Take it with a grain of salt,” he’d say, “Take it with a dose of salts.” A dose of salts is a laxative, but that’s (probably) not what he meant.

But it was funny.

out of whack and brings back so many archaic phrases. It’s meaningless but somehow completely right. Think of the infinite ways the phrase “one horse pony” could be interpreted! We can’t spend our lives worrying about how the other side will pounce on any given thing. They’re always going to do that no matter what happens and no matter what Joe says.

The phrase is "one trick pony." I wonder if Biden really thought about calling Doocy "a horses' ass" and mixed up the phrases. He cracked me up.

"You're a horse's ass". Morphed to pony, mid-sentence.
Now, was it a gaffe or exemplary diplomacy & presidential demeanor?
Keeps them guessing!

Our pushback (not Joe's, he keeps his hands clean) is that he really was going to call him a horse's ass, but thought better of it.
There's no real argument. It's flipping their "you believe what you want, and I'll believe what I want."
Will drive them nuts.

Biden would listen to Ryan, and Ryan thought he was making great points, and then Biden would realize the nonsense of what Ryan said and laugh at him like the very concept was ridiculous.

Doocy is labeled now by the quick wit of Joe Biden.

It's refreshing to hear wit, even mis-spoken, take down a clown asking a dumb or irresponsible question.

All trumps fools had was either lying or storming out, usually both. Though sometimes they would attempt to insult a reporter in a very dumb way, only to have it backfire.

Lock him up.

Gotta love Biden's style. You act/sound like a repetitive dope? He laughs (in a good-humored manner) right in your face. No sneers. No malicious digs. Just laughter.

He's a one-trick pony.
One trick is all that horse can do.
He does, one trick only.
It's the principal source of his revenue.
But when he steps into the spotlight,
you can feel the heat of his heart
come rising through.

See how he dances.
See how he loops from side to side.
See how he prances.
The way his hooves just seem to glide.
He's just a one-trick pony, that's all he is,
but he turn that trick with pride
