He knew that McConnell was dead set against a large stimulus check. He believes that Mitch has double-crossed him after Mitch finally accepted simple reality and logic. So Trump’s mind sees that Mitch doesn’t want to give deserving Americans more money, so Trump focuses on that to boil Mitch.

This puts McConnell and the two Georgia republican candidates into a real bind. Mitch either breaks republican Senators’ arms to get more money out of them, or sit and watch the two Georgia republicans likely go down in flames.

With Trump you're either a sniveling sycophant or a traitor...he demands total loyalty to him and him alone. There's no in-between, and the Republicans put themselves squarely in his crosshairs. Except for the fact that he's trying to shut down the government and stop the stimulus checks from going out, watching McConnell get his ass handed to him, by the moron he's been carrying water for, is really a thing of beauty.

House republicans are trying to help him by yammering about the foreign aid in the bill. So far democrats have resisted lowering the foreign aid, I really don’t understand that, especially if it is a sticking point that allows republicans to deny Americans that meet requirements more money. It will be interesting to see where this ends. At the least, many Americans NEED financial help.

AOC called for it in April, as did Tim Ryan and Ro Khanna.

I like what Nancy Pelosi said and how she said it but I don't see how she could have possibly said anything else. I also don't see how any other Democrat in her position would have responded differently. I don't see how this is an example of leadership, it's more of an obvious reaction.

I do appreciate those who have been fighting for more and have never wavered since the very beginning. Maybe the Democratic Party can learn something from them.
