Pelosi and Hoyer are most correct in quickly jumping on this

Trump wants 2,000 stimulus checks and 4,000 for a couple
Pelosi agrees
Hoyer has announced he wants unanimous consent for the 2k
Who doesn't want the 2k/4k? --> mostly the republicans (except Hawley and maybe a few others and there may be a small handful of Democrats that oppose the 2k -- Sen Warner is one that comes to mind)
Why does Trump want it? Don't know. Don't care. My guess is so he can have his name on the checks or so he can claim that he got the number raised to 2k (prob claim that whole thing was his idea)
It's important to get it passed ASAP, not after il douche leave office. The republicans will NOT pass anything after he's gone from office. And you can be certain, trump won't push for it after he's out.

and if Trump just moves the goalposts again wanting more changes to the bill, he and Repubs will get the blame for holding up reilief money.

What I'll be watching for is what Perdue and Loeffler do.
If Trump does decide to push hard for this, do they dare cross him and risk his wrath in the election
Trump likely won't be willing to wait if he really wants it
Mc Connell will likely be in an ugly jam

thing...tRump constantly changes his mind. Schumer said he wouldn't mind $2,000, as well as Pelosi. They should call his bluff. Happy Holidays, GOP!

overturn the election. None of these things will happen but if him thinking that way is what will get the 2000 checks that's better than not getting them.

6. Sure, 2k would be nice but what is the price on the American people for it?

I am sure we are going to pay a high price for the $1,200 and the $600 but what will the price be for $2,000? Yes, a lot of people need this badly but will it at some point hurt us even more?

Either amount is going to come with a signed piece of paper to add to the nightly bag of scooped cat litter but what added stuff in that bill can not go out with any nights litter.

without crashing and the local stimulus to the economy in every town in America. It's not just about being caring and helping to ourselves but about saving the economy and keeping Americans in their homes and jobs, continuing their roles in the national organism to keep the whole as healthy and strongly functioning as possible.

There's no way the price of allowing Trump and the Republicans control of the nation isn't going to be disastrous, of course. At least, unlike many tragedies playing out around the planet, we are an incredibly wealthy nation.

Speaking of consequences and wealth, the fourth of our ten automatic PayGo transfers of our national tax dollars from the treasury to the private accounts of a few is about to trigger in the new year. You know, the $1.7 TRILLION cash transfer to the wealthy that was on top of tax cuts to the wealthy in the giant tax heist bill they passed in 2017?

Pelosi is brilliant. She has the power to bring a $2,000 bill to the Senate where Loeffler and Perdue will have to vote for it or be blamed for denying the $2,000 checks Tr**p wants to sign.

It’s a win-win for the Democratic Party in Georgia. 😂😂

8. They only need 4-5 R votes in the Senate to pass a bill with $2000.

If I was Pelosi, I'd bump up the unemployment number to $600 a week as well. The Rs voted overwhelmingly for that number in March, and things are only a couple million-fold worse than they were then.

The other part of this are the "wasteful" things Trump wants taken out of the bill before he'll sign it ... and this may actually be the main course. It took 8 months to finally get this together and he may well try and gut it now for all we know.

Whatever gets removed, you can be sure it will be stuff that hurts our people somehow.
